Nowadays, the new plenary session of the teaching steering committee of the Grass Science Subjects cum the 2018 teaching work symposium was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. A total of more than 50 leaders and experts major in charge of the Grass Science from the Lanzhou University, the China Agricultural University, the Beijing Forestry University, the Nanjing Agricultural University, the Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University, the Gansu Agricultural University, the Sichuan Agricultural School, the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, the Xinjiang Agricultural University, the Northeast Agricultural University, the Northeast Normal University, the Sun Yat-sen University, the Chinese Grassland Society, the China Forestry Publishing House and so on more than 30 units attended the meeting. The Professor Suomin Wang, the Professor Zhipeng Liu and the Associate Professor Aike Bao of the College of Grassland Agricultural Science and Technology, Lanzhou University took part in the meeting.

 The meeting was held by Suomin Wang, the chairman of the education steering committee of the department of education in the field of herbology. Zhipeng Liu, the secretary general of the committee, reported the special report -- "We should grasp the situation comprehensively, revitalize undergraduate programs fully and give full play to the role of the education steering committee"  and the Charter of the education steering committee of the ministry of education for higher education 2018-2022 gave by the director Yan Wu of the department of higher education of ministry of education. Wang explained in detail the important speeches made by the Minister Baosheng Chen  and the Deputy Minister Huiqing Lin of the Ministry of Education at the "Establishment meeting of the Teaching steering Committee of the Ministry of Education in 2018-2022". He also preached the relevant content of the "National standard for undergraduate teaching quality of Grass Subject major". The professor of the China Agricultural University Peisheng Mao, vice chairman of the committee of herbology teaching, the professor of the Beijing Forestry University Leibao Han and the professor of the Nanjing Agricultural University Yiyin Shen supplement each other on relevant issues.

 Soon afterwards, members and experts at the meeting spoke one after another, they discussed the annual work plan of the future five years, the "double ten thousand plan" of the first-class course construction of colleges and universities, the three-level professional certification and so on. The meeting agreed on the proposed establishment of new undergraduate majors, the development of core curriculum materials, the organizations of teaching competitions for young teachers and the training of teaching skills.
