Durning December 6th to 8th 2018, the Academician Zhibian Nan participated in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous region's "Mid-Term Conference on the Construction of "double First-class" and "double First-class" Construction Forum" in Ningxia University. The leaders of the four colleges and universities of the autonomous region reported on the progress and problems faced by their respective units in the construction of the "double First-class". The deputy director of the Department of Education, summed up the reports of the universities and put forward specific requirements. As a special guest, the Academician Zhibiao Nan and the vice principal of the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen Campus) Professor Yingxue Yao respectively gave a report entitled "Experience of constructing First-class discipline in underdeveloped areas" and "Typical case Analysis of discipline Construction in Harbin Institute of Technology", the reports attracted a wide range of interest among the participants. The leaders of the Education Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous region, the Finance Department, the regional colleges and universities and the heads of relevant departments, the heads of 18 first-class subjects and representatives of teachers, with a total of more than 200 people also attended the meeting.

    Accompanied by Professor Hongbin Ma, the deputy dean of the college of Agriculture, Ningxia University, the Academician Zhibiao Nan visited the lab of the Grass Science and had a discussion with teachers and students. Academician Nan reviewed his own growth course, answered the questions raised by the teachers and students on the future development of the subject, the entrance examination for postgraduate studies and employment, the growth and the development of talents. He encouraged the students work hard to learn professional knowledge, do a good job of scientific research, and believed the Grass Science would certainly be better and better under the joint efforts of all of us.
