On the morning of May 20, at the invitation of Academician Nan Zhibiao, Dr. Cory Matthew, Honorary Professor of Massey University, New Zealand and Cuiying Professor of College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, delivered an eye-opening academic report online for teachers and students of Lanzhou University.

The report was held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of Biye Building and chaired by Dean Li Chunjie. Professor Matthew gave A detailed overview of his research career and academic achievements on drought tolerance mechanism of perennial ryegrass on the topic of A 20-year journey exploring perennial ryegrass water use efficiency. After the report, teachers and students continued with a lively discussion with Professor Matthew on the content that interested them.
