On the morning of September 7, Academician Nan Zhibiao delivered a special presentation to the Lanzhou University high-level talents workshop, titled “Responsibility and undertaking-some experience in grassland research”.

In the nearly two-hour presentation, Academician Nan talked about responsibility and undertaking given his own experience. As a teacher, one should be responsible for students, parents and the university. As a scientific researcher, one should be responsible for the needs of the nation and carry out “indomitable” scientific research. Meanwhile, one should possess the spirit of responsibility and dedication and be responsible for the development of the collective, the industry and the discipline. Lastly, Academician Nan urged all to take responsibility and undertaking as the driving force for progress, be content with life, accumulate knowledge, grow with time, align knowledge and practice, and work hand-in-hand for the revitalization of the industry.

Song Weiguo, Deputy Director of the Talent Office, chaired the meeting. Over 40 high-level talents newly joined the university in recent years attended the meeting.
