Liang Tiangang

Prof. Tian-Gang Liang is the director of the Institute of Grassland Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System, State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems and College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University. He received his PhD (1998) in Lanzhou University, China, and had worked in Lanzhou University where he has remained successively as an assistant, lecturer, associate Professor and Professor.

He had visited Prof. Bao Shumings’ Lab at China Information Center of the International Institute in the University of Michigan as a visiting scholar during 1999 to 2000, and 2004-2005, respectively. His research interests include remote sensing and GIS technologies, theories, and applications on grassland ecology and environment. He has published over 40 papers in international journals including Remote Sensing of Environment, Remote Sensing, and International Journal of Remote Sensing, etc.
