Introduction

Employment and Education: 1. Professor (2017-), Cuiying Talent Program, Lanzhou University. 2. PhD (2008-2012, Plant Pathology) and Researcher (2013-2016), University of Western Australia. 3. Bachelor-Master joint program (2002-2008), Master of Science (Microbiology) and Bachelor of Engineering (Bioengineering), Northwest A&F University. Honors and Awards such as UWA Outstanding PhD Thesis and ECR Best Publication Award.

Research Areas and Interests:

Forage Pathology /Grassland Microbiology (Current): Cultivated grassland diseases (alfalfa root rot) including genetic diversity and pathogenicity mechanisms of major pathogens (Fusarium spp. and Rhizoctonia solani), resistance mechanisms of alfalfa and microbiome-mediated ecological regulation mechanisms.

Plant Pathology /Microbiology (Past): Root rot diseases of horticultural crop strawberry including disease etiology, infection mechanisms and pathogenicity mechanisms of the pathogen Fusarium oxysporum. New microbe resources (Xenorhabdus spp.) in natural soil with biocontrol capacity including secondary metabolites with antimicrobial activity, fermentation process /statistical modeling.
