Li Fadi

Prof. Fa-di Li is the director of the Institute of ruminant research, State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems and College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University. He obtained his PhD (2003) in Gansu Agricultural University, China, and had worked in College of Animal Science and Technology of Gansu Agriculture University where he has remained successively as an assistant, lecturer, associate Professor and Professor. In 2013, He moved to College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University.

Prof. Li has been elected as the first level of leading talent in Gansu Province, expertise position in China Agriculture Research System of sheep and goat, committee member in Animal husbandry discipline branch of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Animal husbandry Division of National Steering Committee of Agricultural Graduate Education, Steering Committee of High Education Teaching, Ministry of Education, member and President of sheep and goat division of National Animal Genetic Resource Committee, Vice President of expert group of Sheep and Goat Genetic Improvement Program, member in National Feed Evaluation Committee, member in High Education Division of Textbook Construction Committee, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affaires. He also has received important academic awards and honors, including academic member of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science, Vice Director of Domestic Animal Ecology Branch of Chinese Association of Animal science and Veterinary Medicine, Executive Director of Sheep and Goat Production Branch of Chinese Association of Animal science and Veterinary Medicine, Committee of Animal Nutrition Branch of Chinese Association of Animal science and Veterinary Medicine, Associated editor-in-chief of Journal of Domestic Animal Ecology etc.

Currently Prof. Li’s lab main research interests concern nutrient physiology of ruminants, development and utilization of unconventional feed resources, Breeding theory and technology of mutton sheep, exploration of grassland feed resources and livestock product quality and safety, etc. He has published over 100 scientific papers s in a serial of scientific journal including Frontiers in Microbiology, Journal of Animal Science, Scientific Reports, Animal Feed Science and Technology, International Journal of Molecular Science etc.
