Liu Jinrong

Prof. Jin-Rong Liu is the doctoral supervisor of the College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University. He obtained his PhD (1998) in Gansu Agricultural University, China, and had worked in Hexi University where he has remained successively as an assistant, lecturer, associate Professor and Professor. He had been to the Garden Lawn Room, Department of Horticulture, Cornell University College of Agriculture, USA as a postdoctoral fellow. 

Professor Liu has been selected as one of the National Ten Million Talents Project and awarded the honorary title of "Young Experts with Outstanding Contributions”. Besides, Professor Liu was selected as the Leader of Science and Technology in Gansu Province, the First Batch of Innovative Entrepreneurship Tutors in Gansu Province, the First Batch of Tutors in the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of education, and the Deputy Director of the Specialized Committee, China Grass Society Lawn, and served as the magazine reviewer of the Acta Ecologica Sinica, Acta Agrestia Sinica, Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology, and Pratacultural Science.  

Currently Prof. Liu’s main research interests concern the teaching and research of lawn planting and maintenance, lawn green space planning and design and engineering, indoor flower cultivation and setting, ecological environment treatment, salt and alkali land improvement and management etc.
