Zhang Xiaohu

Xiaohu Zhang is a creative and passionate senior lecturer in College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University. Mr. Zhang is dedicated to fostering a student-centered classroom environment based on mutual respect and collaboration. Mr. Zhang has strong background experiences both in field and management, and committed to helping students identify and develop their own passions while becoming successful, confident graduate.

Xiaohu Zhang earned Master of Agricultural Studies from University of Queensland, Australia in 1993, Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science in Gatton College, Australia, in 1991, and Bachelor Degree in Grassland Science in Gansu Agricultural University in 1984.

Mr. Zhang has been working for Gansu Grassland Ecological Research Institute (GGERI) since his bachelor degree graduation. During GGERI, Mr. Zhang undertook several positions as technician, extension officer, and assistant manager respectively at Loess Plateau Research Station, GGERI, and senior lecturer to present.  

During GGERI, Mr. Zhang was appointed as a general manager of Lanzhou Lantai Turf Co., actively involved in turf establishment for landscape, soccer fields and golf courses, totally over 10 million square meters, enjoyed a good reputation both for high quality, economic and social values. Mr. Zhang is also a 21 year membership in United States Golf Association (USGA) and 21 year membership in Golf Course Superintendent Association of American (GCSAA).

As a senior lecturer at College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, Mr. Zhang is currently teaching Golf Courses and Sports Field Management, and Turf Establishment and Management in collaboration with others, actively involved in golf course design and construction, strongly specialized in sports field and golf course drainage, also engaged in turfgrass research and sports field turf management.
