The Opening Ceremony of Freshmen of Grade 2019 Graduate Students in the College of Pastoral Agriculture Science Technology of Lanzhou University was Held Smoothly

On the afternoon of September 5, the opening ceremony and graduate welcome meeting of graduate students of Grade 2019, School of Pastoral Agricultural Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, were held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of Biye Building.

Professor Dawei Zhang, Party Committee Secretary of Pastoral Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, Professor Fujiang Hou, Dean, Mr. Lei Xiaoyun, Vice President Chengyong Fan, Mr.  Xuan Wang, Professor Huimin Yang, Professor Zhipeng Liu, Professor Shouli Li, Professor Jinlin Zhang , Professor Saman, Associate Professor Decao Niu, Senior engineer Zhaohui Liu, Dr. Qi Zhao, Secretary of the League Committee, Mr. Xue Gao, Secretary of the League Committee, and all graduate students at level 2019 attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Lingling Tan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee.

In the first item of the ceremony, Mr. Tan introduced the leaders and teachers of the meeting to the teachers and students present.

In the second item of the ceremony, Professor Zhipeng Liu delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of his mentor, and combined with his own learning and scientific research experience, suggested that freshmen live in peace with their mentors and classmates, constantly delve into scientific research and strive hard.

In the third item of the ceremony, Siqi Liu, a representative of Lao students and a professional majoring in agronomy and seed industry of Grade 2018, shared with the freshmen their experiences on the way to study: drillers, starting from the threshold of three inches, in order to reach a depth of ten thousand feet.

In the fourth item of the ceremony,Yaqi Chen, a grass major at level 2019, as a freshman representative, expressed his plans and expectations for his future study and life.

The fifth item of the ceremony, Professor Fujiang Hou, dean of the Institute of Pastoral  Agricultural Science and Technology, made a corresponding introduction to the basic situation of the college, encouraging students to inherit the spirit of the big grass industry, pursue first-class knowledge, and do first-class research; We should always pay attention to the academic frontier, browse the papers of the top periodicals in time, keep abreast of the hot spots of the top academic conferences, pay close attention to the scientific research trends of the international first-class team, and encourage every grass student to strive for the brilliance of the grass industry by hard sharpening his true talents.

In the sixth item of the ceremony, the mentor representatives Professor Shouli Li, Professor  Jinlin Zhang and Professor Saman made invited reports in turn to show their research direction to the students so that they can have a deeper understanding of their academic environment.

After the opening ceremony, graduate students bid farewell to the leaders and mentors of the college.Next, Mr. Xue Gao, graduate counselor, and Mr. Xiaojun Gou, graduate secretary, respectively, carried out admission education for graduate students of Grade 2019 according to the daily management and safety education of graduate students, the requirements of graduate training, academic ethics and so on.
